It's midsummer again in Boca Raton, and with that, we take a moment to acknowledge the incredible men we grew up admiring. From soldiers and sailors to businessmen, mentors, and shoulders to lean on, our fathers go by many things. Our fathers wear many hats, take on many roles, and set the tone for the future we are blessed to look towards ourselves. Most of all, we know them by "Dad," and on the weekend of June 18th, we celebrate their impact on our lives and the community at large. Here are our choices for the many Father's Day Events in Boca Raton this year.

The Rock & Roll Playhouse: Music of the Grateful Dead For Kids

The Rock & Roll Playhouse is a family-friendly concert series that travels the country and hosts performances highlighting iconic rock bands and their music. Featuring notable Grateful Dead tribute band, Crazy Fingers, the event will include games, movement, storytelling, and music. Through this cultural exchange and multisensory music experience, kids and their dads will enrich their lives and cultivate a lifelong appreciation of the arts.

Celebrate Dad with Tommy Bahama

South Florida dads are notorious for their beachwear - most notably in the leather-bound sandals, pastel shorts, and brightly colored button-downs made famous by this iconic brand. Throughout the month of June, Tommy Bahama's Mizner Park location will celebrate Dad, featuring a host of unique gifts perfect for him. Shop sales for accessories like the Marlin Bar Cocktail Book or Stainless Steel Rolling Cooler, or one of their classic golfing shorts. 

Father's Day Celebration at Throw Social

Throw Social is one of Delray's hottest hospitality spots, with kinetic activities made available to complement the delicious food and beverage options included in their celebration. Events and games include axe throwing, beer chugging, mini golf putting, cornhole, giant Jenga, and much more. Drink specials and hot dogs off the grill are a must, of course, and are sure to keep Dad well-fed and chipper during this daylong celebration.

Mariachi's & Mimosas at Calaveras Cantina

While not necessarily a specific Father's Day celebration, we'd be remiss to leave off this beloved Sunday special that takes place every Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Perhaps mimosas aren't his thing, but ignore the acronym and recognize this event for the potential it brings: cold beer, fresh tacos, and delightful music, all at a wonderful location in the center of Mizner Park. Even if your Dad prefers a frosted glass over a champagne flume, there's plenty to love at this ever-popular Mizner Park Mexican restaurant.

Father's Day Classic Car Show

The Mizner Park Father's Day Classic Car Show rivals the Tommy Bahama sale as perhaps the most "Dad-friendly" thing to do on Father's Day in Boca Raton. With so many wealthy people relocating to the fresh air and sunny skies of our city, it's no wonder a classic car community emerged from these erstwhile road warriors. The event will include shopping, food, a children's play area, a DJ playing the biggest hits from the 1950s to 1970s, award for participants, and so much more - all amidst the backdrop of beautiful Mizner Park.
