2014 Boca Raton Summer Camps

Summer camp is an exciting getaway opportunity for children and teens that is full of fun, adventure and activities that your child is sure to love. From traditional camps to extended camps to specialty camps, there is an option for everyone no matter what you are interested in. For additional information on any of the camps below click here.

Traditional Camps

Located at Boca Raton Community Center and James A. Rutherford Community Center in Patch Reef Park. Traditional Camps are 6-week sessions where campers participate in games, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, approximately 3 field trips per week, and other activities.

Traditional-Plus Camps

Located at J.C. Mitchell Elementary School. Traditional-Plus Camps are 6-week sessions where campers have a daily field trip scheduled. In addition, they also participate in arts & crafts and other activities.

Week-to-Week Camps

Located at J.C. Mitchell Elementary School. Week-to-Week Camps are 6-week sessions that give the camper the option to select individual weeks they want to take part in. Campers can look forward to roller-skating, bowling, arts & crafts and other fun activities.

'Tween Camps

Located at Boca Raton Community Middle School and Spanish River Community High School. 'Tween Camps are 6-week sessions that feature a field trip every day along with indoor and outdoor sports activities.

Elementary Extended Camps

Located at Boca Raton Community Center and James A. Rutherford Community Center in Patch Reef Park. Elementary Extended Camps provide campers with 3 additional weeks of summer full of entertaining activities such as arts & crafts, field trips and games.

'Tween Extended Camps

Located at Boca Raton Community Middle School and Boca Raton Community Center Annex. 'Tween Extended Camps provide campers with 2 additional weeks of summer that involves taking a daily field trip to a new and exciting attraction.

Gumbo Limbo Environmental Camp

Children and teens learn all about plants, animals, and coastal habitats through daily hands-on and outdoor activities. Teens get the opportunity to experience off-site field trips which will further expand their knowledge of wildlife conservation.

FILM CAMPS
Reel Film Experience and Make Your Own Tv Commercial
Weekly sessions for kids ages 9-13.

Stop Motion Animation
Weekly sessions for kids ages 7-13.

I Wanna Rock
Weekly sessions for kids ages 9-14.

DC Pro Advanced Film Making Workshop
Two-week sessions for kids ages 10-15 who have at least 2 years experience using Director's Cut and an understanding of Final Cut X.

DRAMA CAMPS

Curtain's Up! A Performance Drama Program
Three-week session to perform "Cinderella's Glass Slipper" for kids ages 6-15.
Two-week session to perform "Snow White & the Vertically Challenged Individuals" for kids aged 6-15.
One-week session to perform "The Lion King" for kids ages 6-15.

It's Showtime !!!
One-week session to perform "Legally Blonde" for kids ages 6-14.
One-week session to perform "Aladdin" for kids ages 6-14.

VARIETY CAMPS

Weekly sessions for kids ages 5-12.

Spy Camp
Weekly sessions for kids entering into 1st grade.

Camp Eureka!
Weekly sessions for kids entering into 1st grade.

Food, Fun & Film
Weekly sessions for kids ages 5-12.

Bright & Smart Robotics
Weekly sessions for kids ages 7-13.
One advanced session for kids who have previously completed one week of Bright & Smart already.

Once Upon A Happily Ever After - A program for young writers
Four-day session for kids ages 9-12.

Explorium Science Camp 2014
Weekly sessions for kids entering into K-5th grade.

Surf School

Located at Red Reef Park, children between the ages of 6 and 13 get the opportunity to learn how to surf in one-week sessions. No experience is necessary, but you must know how to swim.

Beach Volleyball

Located at South Beach Park Pavilion. Four-day sessions for teens ages 12-17 years old. Beach Volleyball Camp teaches players technical skills as well as offensive and defensive schemes. All players welcome. No experience is needed and skill levels will be divided up between courts for fair play.

Ocean Adventure Sea Program

Located at Red Reef Park on Monday-Thursday for beach days and Silver Palms Boat Ramp on Friday for sail/snorkel reef day. Four or five-day sessions for kids ages 6-15 where campers will be divided up by age group. Learn about marine life and oceans while participating in many water sports and activities including snorkeling, boogie boarding, skim boarding and sailing.

Kayaking, Paddle & Nature Program

Located at Spanish River Park for kids ages 8-15 years old. Four-day sessions which encompass learning about kayaking and other paddling sports. Campers will get to learn all about techniques, water safety, plant and animal identification, equipment care and much more.

Fishing Academy

Located at the Northwest lakeside area of Spanish River Library. Five-day sessions for kids ages 6-13 where campers will learn how to tie different knots, bait a hook, how to identify fish and about water safety.

Junior Lifeguard Program

Located at Spanish River Park for kids ages 10-17. A tryout is required which will consist of a run-swim-run activity. Upon being accepted into the program, campers will receive a uniform to wear to the three-day-a-week camp session.

Junior Tennis Camps

LOCATION #1
Patch Reef Tennis Center will have full week sessions, rain or shine, for kids ages 3-6 and 7-16. There are both full-day and half-day options with after care available for both days and lunch provided on full days.

LOCATION #2
The Racquet Center will have full week sessions, rain or shine, for kids ages 6-16. There are both full-day and half-day options available. The Racquet Center also has a Pee Wee Camp for kids ages 4-6 that only has a half-day option. After care is available and lunch is provided on full days.

LOCATION #3
The Boca Raton Tennis Center will have full week sessions, rain or shine, for kids ages 5-16. Campers should bring lunch every day with the exception of Friday when there will be a pizza party.
